How early should I arrive for class?
Please come at least 10 minutes early to class so that you can check in, let the teacher know of anything injuries or issues , change and settle in.
What should I do upon arrival?
Please slip your shoes off and place them in the provided shelves. Print your name on the class sign-in sheet. Please be sure to tell the instructor if you are new, have specific injuries, conditions or concerns or if you are pregnant.
What if I am late?
Things happen and we all run late sometimes. If you are late to class, please wait until the class has finished the invocation and the teacher motions to you to join the class. If you are more than 5 mintues late to class, please consider taking the next class, or returning on another day.
Studio Etiquette and Policies
The YSLR is a welcome sanctuary amid the hectic pace of our daily lives. We strive to create an environment of peace and tranquility. To ensure that everyone benefits from their practice, we ask that you familarize yourself with our policies and studio etiquette.
What if I have to leave early?
Completing the practice with Savasana is ideal. However, if you need to leave early, please let the instructor know before class and prepare yourself to leave before Savasana begins. Please do not leave during Savasana as to honor those around you. This is a time of deep relaxation and should not be disturbed.
Where should I put my things?
Please keep all personal items including cell phones and water bottles out of the studio space. Cell phones should be turned off during the practice. Shoes, jackets and handbags can be kept on the hangers and cubbies provided in the front of the studio.
Do I need my own mat?
You are welcome to bring your own mat. The IYSLR provides quality mats as well as any additional props you might need.
