Martha Richardson

Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) Level 1 (2016)


Martha Richardson came to yoga after a 15 year career as a ballet dancer. In 2010 she began classes at The Iyengar Yoga Studio of Little Rock. After attending a workshop with Iyengar teacher Randy Just, Martha has dedicated herself to the Iyengar method of yoga. In addition to Randy Just, she has studied with certified Iyengar teachers including Roger Cole, Dean Lerner, Patricia Walden, Jawahar Bangera, Victoria Austin, Brian Hogencamp, Stephanie Quirk and Lois Steinberg. In May of 2016, Martha attended the Iyengar Yoga Convention in Boca Raton Florida to study with Abhijata Sridhar Iyengar, the Grandaughter of BKS Iyengar. Martha studies regularly with  Senior level Iyengar teacher Randy Just of the B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga Studio of Dallas. She teaches all levels of yoga at The Iyengar Yoga Studio of Little Rock. Martha is the acting president of IYASCUS, the South Central regional organization of IYNAUS.

Joy Wasson

Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) 

Joy Wasson has been a practitioner of Iyengar Yoga since 1999. She has over 700+ hours of direct teacher training since 2013, receiving the Level One certification in 2015 and Level Two certification in 2017.  (https://iynaus.org/study/teachers/joy-wasson)  Joy has experience teaching multiple audiences including youth swim teams, athletes, Crossfit gyms, school aged children, pregnant women, and special needs/injuries.  She continues 100+ annual hours of teacher training through accredited Iyengar teacher training programs at the Iyengar Yoga Studio of Dallas and the Audubon Yoga Studio in New Orleans under the mentorship of Senior CIYT’s Randy Just and Becky Lloyd.  Joy has a particular interest in how yoga can complement and improve sports related activities, assist children, teens, and adults in stress reduction and coping skills, and benefit women in all life stages from puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, post pregnancy, and menopause.
